Bastian Born, or Barratator is a German software developer known for creating the game Kugeln.io.
Developing Kugeln.io
On November 29th, 2016, Bastian announced Kugeln.io, a 2D multiplayer shooting game. He was inspired by another game called TeeWorlds, and the difference between Kugeln and TeeWorlds is the environment is destructible and has some other features like machine guns.
He spent 15 months working on the game and chose HTML5 and web platform so everybody could access the game easily, without the need to install an application or any other complex stuff.
Barratator was originally going to name the game "Balls.io" but the domain was already taken. He then called it "Kugeln.io" using the German version of "Balls".
After releasing the game to the public, he continued updating it but eventually stepped out, and sold the game to Addicting Games.
